The Startup Village presents the ELoQ system for neurosurgery, a joint development of the Higher School of Economics, the Sklifosovsky Research Institute and Brainstart

On May 29-30, the ELoQ system, a hardware and software complex for noninvasive mapping of speech areas of the brain during neurosurgery, was presented at the Startup Village site.

The Startup Village presents the ELoQ system for neurosurgery, a joint development of the Higher School of Economics, the Sklifosovsky Research Institute and Brainstart

ELoQ is a hardware and software solution for passive functional mapping of areas of the cerebral cortex involved in speech function. Unlike classical methods, ELoQ does not require intraoperative electrical stimulation and allows you to obtain a detailed functional map of speech zones in real time, depending on how much a particular zone is involved in the process of productive speech.
The development is already being applied in clinical practice at the Scientific Research Institute named after Sklifosovsky, the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of the FMBA of Russia and other institutions. The system is characterized by:
— high mapping accuracy,
— intuitive interface,
— personalized selection of speech stimuli using a special tablet application,
— wireless integration, which is especially important for operating conditions.
