Daria Kleeva's lecture "From sensors to brain networks"

On April 24, the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology hosted a lecture by Daria Kleeva as part of the Neurocampus lecture hall. The presentation was devoted to modern approaches to the analysis of MEG and EEG data, their limitations and prospects of application in clinical practice.

During the lecture, the stages of the transition from recording weak electrical and magnetic signals of the brain to restoring the activity of cortical sources, analyzing neural oscillations and evaluating functional connectivity were discussed. Special attention was paid to methods for identifying physiological and pathological patterns of brain activity, including cases of epilepsy. The issues of accuracy, stability and interpretability of the obtained results were raised. The current limitations of MEG and EEG methods and possible ways to overcome them at the intersection of neuroscience, engineering and medicine were also discussed.
The event was broadcast on the project's VKontakte page, which can be viewed at the link
