The staff of the Center for Bioelectric Interfaces spoke at the VIII International Conference "Brain-Computer Interface: Science and Practice"
On May 15, Samara hosted the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Brain-Computer Interface: Science and Practice", which brought together leading Russian experts in the field of neurotechnology, applied neurophysiology and bioengineering.

During the plenary session, Alexey Ossadtchi, Director of the HSE Center for Bioelectric Interfaces, head of the Neurointerfaces group at the AI Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the Computational Neuroimaging and Magnetoencephalography group at the LIFT Research Center, delivered a report on "Clinical and non—clinical applications of Neurointerfaces." The presentation discussed the prospects of introducing neural interfaces into clinical practice and beyond, from neurorehabilitation to cognitive interfaces.
In the afternoon, Daria Medvedeva and Nikita Fedosov, research interns at the HSE Center for Bioelectric Interfaces, spoke at the scientific session. The report was devoted to the analysis of magnetoencephalography data collected using optically pumped magnetometers (OPM). Special attention was paid to approaches to preprocessing, localization of sources and the use of modern methods of processing neural data.
